Club History
Eynesbury Rovers were formed in 1897 and played friendly matches before joining the Biggleswade & District League and then the St Neots Junior League, which they won in 1910/11. They lifted the Huntingdonshire Senior Cup for the first time in 1914 and won the County Junior Cup in 1921, 1927 (beating Yaxley Territorials 2-0 in a replayed final after the first match finished goal less) and 1932. Competing in the Bedford & District League Eynesbury won 2nd Division championships in 1927, 1931 and 1932 and in 1934 they joined the South Midlands League.
Recent History
At the start of the 2011/12 season Matt Plumb brought in former St Neots Town Reserve team Manager Paul Dodson to work alongside him and once again finished sixth but picked up the UCL Fair Play Award.
For season 2012/13 Matt Plumb and Martin Field were joint managers and led the team to a third place finish. However, season 2013/14 was a record breaking season as the club clinched runners- up spot to return to the Premier Division. They finished with a record number of points (98) and goals (118) and recorded a club record 11 consecutive wins. Lee Bassett became the first Eynesbury player to score 50 goals in a season. Meanwhile off the pitch ongoing ground improvements had brought the Alfred Hall Memorial Ground up to Premier Division standard. Back in the Premier Division Eynesbury finished 11th in 2014/15. In the summer of 2015 Matt took on the role of club chairman leaving Martin Field and Paul Reynolds in charge of the first team.
In October 2015 Martin Field stepped down as first team manager and Paul Reynolds left the club. The U21 Manager David Northfield took over on an interim basis before Mark Ducket was appointed in December. He led the team to a sixth place finish in the Premier Division and they finished runners-up to St Ives Town in the Hunts Senior Cup.
2016/17 saw Rovers equal their second best ever league placing finishing fifth. They recorded 119 league goals, a new club record, and beat Southern League Premier Division side St Neots Town 1-0 in the Hunts Senior Cup Final on their own patch.
In 2017/18 Mark Ducket led the first team to seventh place and their third consecutive Hunts Senior Cup Final, going down to St Neots Town at their ground.
