Oakham United FC – Senior Cup Winners

Oakham United defeated Warboys Town 4-3 on penalties in the Senior Cup final 2024 after the game ended goalless after an intense 90 minutes of football. With Warboys missing their first penalty, Oakham had the advantage throughout the shootout. As Oakham scored their fourth consecutive penalty, Warboys had to score to keep themselves in the final. However Oakham’s goalkeeper dove to his right and denied the spotkick, earning Oakham the trophy.
Cardea FC – Challenge Cup Winners

A seven goal thriller in the 2024 Challenge Cup final led to Cardea FC lifting the trophy against Deeping United. With Cardea scoring five of the goals compared to Deeping’s two, Cardea were worthy winners of the competition. Despite the final result, the first half was an evenly contested game with Cardea only leading Deeping by two goals to one at the break. However, a dominant display by the eventual winners was simply too much to handle for Deeping as the final score ended 5-2.
Peterborough City Reserve – Junior Cup Winners

Peterborough City Reserve held no prisoners in the Junior Cup final as they led 3-0 at half time against Thorney FC. The deficit of that size was just too difficult for Thorney to make a comeback despite them pulling a goal back in the second half. Three different goalscorers for Peterborough City Reserve showed a complete and dominant performance in a high pressure game, which earned them the title of Junior Cup Champions in a 3-1 victory.
Whittlesey Athletic Veterans – Veterans Invitation Cup Winners

Whittlesey Athletic Veterans beat Stiltion United Veterans 6-5 on penalties in the Veterans Invitation Cup after the full time score was 1-1. The game was tied 0-0 at half time with both teams looking for the opening goal. Whittlesey broke the deadlock in the second half from a corner. This lead did not last as a successful cross and header by Stilton evened the game once again. With both goals cancelling each other out, a penalty shootout was needed. A save in sudden death from Whittlesey’s goalkeeper meant that they won the final and the cup.
Park Farm Pumas Veterans – Veterans Plate Winners

In a game full of goals, Park Farm Pumas Veterans defeated Eunice Huntingdon Veterans 4-2 on penalties. Despite Eunice Huntingdon leading 2-1 at half time, the game was still wide open and more goals were guaranteed. Park Farm Rangers scored the next goal which leveled the sides at two goals a piece, however, Eunice scored then went on to score two impressive goals. This left Park Farm Rangers with a challenging task ahead. Yet, two goals from two corners for Park Farm tied the game at 4-4 when the full time whistle was blown. Park Farm won the penalty shootout 4-2, with help from their goalkeeper who saved two of the penalties that he faced.
FC Hampton U18 Royal – U18 Cup Winners

An emphatic 5-2 victory for FC Hamption U18 Royal over Nene Valley FC U18 earned them the title of the U18 Cup champions for 2024. It truly was a game of two halves as Nene Valley were leading 2-1 at the break, but Hampton’s halftime team talk seemed to have worked as they put the ball in the back of Nene Valley’s net four times in the second 45 minutes. Hampton’s goal scoring ability was shown all the way though the cup, as they scored at least five goals in every stage of the competition. Their biggest victory was an 11-0 victory in the first round against Peterborough Athletic Youth U18, showing that they made an impact from the beginning.
Bourne Town Juniors U16 Claret – U16 Cup Winners

A tightly contested 90 minutes with both sides balanced and unable to break the other down, meant the cup final would have to be decided by a penalty shootout. Bourne Town’s goalkeeper was the hero in this match as he saved all of Netherton United’s penalties. With Bourne missing their first but scoring their next two meant Netherton needed to score but were denied by Bourne’s keeper, meaning they won the game 2-0 on penalties.
Stamford AFC Young Daniels U15 Red – U15 Cup Winners

A dominant and conclusive performance from Stamford led them comfortably lifting the U15 Cup in April 2024 against Bourne Town Juniors U15 Claret. An early goal for Stamford meant that they were in control of the game from the start and they never lost that. Leading the game 2-0 at the break meant Bourne had a big deficit to recover. Unfortunately for Bourne, Stamford scored another three in the second half, ending the game 5-0. Some fantastic strikes led to goals from Stamford, however Bourne Town’s goalkeeper made some impressive stops to keep Stamford at bay in the first half.
Gunthorpe Harriers U15 – U15 Plate Winners

An intense game of football that ended 2-2 meant that the U15 Plate would have to be decided by a penalty shootout. Gunthorpe Harriers were 2-0 midway through the second half and it seemed that the trophy was heading their way. However two goals from British School of Sport tied the game once again, meaning the teams were level at full time. A shootout with plenty of goals was concluded when Gunthorpe scored a decisive spot kick which won them the shootout and the Plate. The penalty shootout finished 5-4.
